About Dr. Ardovino

At Alabama Dental Sleep and Wellness, our focus is on helping you get the good night’s sleep you deserve. Dr. Ann Ardovino has been practicing dentistry for over 18 years, dividing her time between both general and sleep dentistry. Recently, she decided the time was right to devote her talents to treating sleep issues full time, assisting patients just like you have a more comfortable, higher quality rest.

Dr. Ardovino earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her dental doctorate at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. She is also a proud graduate of the Dawson Academy, where she earned Fellowship status in TMJ and Occlusion, and is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. She is also a current, active member of the Alabama Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Why Choose Us?

When many people begin researching sleep apnea treatments, they aren’t thrilled with their options. In many cases, doctors are quick to prescribe CPAP therapy, which when used corrected can be effective. Unfortunately, however, it can also be uncomfortable, and therefore not used enough to make a difference. At Alabama Dental Sleep and Wellness, we believe that there’s a better way.  Oral appliance treatment is an FDA approved way to prop the airway open naturally, so there’s no need for awkward masks, complex machinery, and uncomfortable forced air. These devices are custom made to fit your individual mouth, so they’re more discreet, feel better, and provide unprecedented convenience over traditional CPAP.

We Treat Snoring, too!

Don’t have sleep apnea? Dr. Ardovino also treats snoring, which can be a symptom of sleep apnea or a completely different condition. If you’ve been told by a sleep partner that you snore but aren’t sure why, we’re here to help diagnose any underlying issues, and treat them with a safe, comfortable, FDA approved device that will help you (and your sleep partner!) get the quiet, peaceful rest you deserve.
